Dewra began with a stubborn question: why should the days you bleed be the days you brace yourself for? We make pads that stay soft against your skin, hold what they promise, and let you get on with everything else.
How it began
It started with the things nobody says out loud
Dewra was built in India, by people who grew up watching the women around them quietly manage. A pad folded over because it was too short. A dupatta kept within reach. A whole night spent lying still so nothing would shift.
So we asked properly. Friends, cousins, colleagues, our mothers. The answers barely changed from one to the next: it bunches by the afternoon, the edges rub by day two, the length never covers a full night, and the added perfume solves nothing.
We started at the skin and worked outward. A bamboo-based top sheet for the Bamboo range. An anion strip in the Anion range. High absorbency, wings that hold their fold, Double XL length as standard, and no added fragrance in either range.
Dewra is not one more pad on the shelf. It is a solution to a struggle you were quietly told to put up with.
What guides us
The four things we will not trade away
Every decision about a Dewra pad is checked against these four. If a change makes the pad cheaper to build but harder to wear, it does not happen.
Comfort first
A pad is worn for hours, not minutes. We choose the softer top sheet, the smoother edge and the quieter backsheet, even when a cheaper material would pass unnoticed on a spec sheet.
Honest materials
We name what is inside. A bamboo-based top sheet on the Bamboo range, an anion strip on the Anion range. If we cannot stand behind a line, we leave it off the pack.
No unnecessary fragrance
Neither range carries added fragrance. Scent does not make a pad more absorbent. It only adds one more thing sitting against your skin all day.
Conscious of the planet
The Bamboo range is biodegradable, and our packs stay deliberately plain. We would rather take waste out of a pack than print another line about caring.
Our path so far
How Dewra came together
No overnight story. Just a lot of listening, and a lot of samples we said no to.

We listened before we made anything
Sisters, roommates, hostel wardens, shopkeepers, mothers. No focus groups, just long conversations. The same four complaints kept coming back: it bunches, it chafes, it is not long enough, and it smells of perfume.

We chose materials, then wore them
We ordered samples, compared top sheets side by side, and wore each option through full cycles ourselves before asking anyone else to. Anything that felt papery by the second day never went further.

We got the fit and the wings right
Double XL took the longest. Long enough for a night shift or a long bus journey, trim enough at the front to sit unnoticed under leggings, with wings that fold once and stay folded.

We launched two ranges, not twenty
Bamboo, for a plant-based top sheet and a pad that biodegrades. Anion, for the anion strip. Eight pads to a pack, one honest size, and nothing on the box we cannot explain to you.
